Destiny 2 PC beta dated, here are the required system specs

Now that the console fans have had their fun, Destiny 2’s beta is a few weeks away from jumping onto the PC platform. Bungie announced the beta’s start dates on their official site.

They are as follows:

Destiny 2 PC Beta

  • Early Access: August 28
  • Open Beta: August 29
  • Beta Ends: August 31

Furthermore, Bungie went ahead and released the recommended and minimum PC specs for the beta. They even offered up some modern hardware for those upgrading or building fresh. Here’s all of that:

Nvidia – GeForce GTX 970
AMD – Radeon R9 390

8GB

Minimum Spec

CPU
Intel – Core i3-3250
AMD – FX-4350

Nvidia – GeForce GTX 660 2GB
AMD – Radeon HD 7850 2GB

6GB

If you’re upgrading, here is hardware that’s available today and runs the game well:

CPU – Intel Core i5-7400
GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Minimum 

CPU – Intel Pentium G4560
GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB

Bungie’s Event Machine

CPU – Intel i7-7700k
GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB

Bungie explained that these specs are what’s needed for the beta, and they may change before the game’s full launch this fall.

Bungie says that they’ll have more news regarding the PC beta of Destiny 2 before it kicks off later next month. Stay tuned.
