Rayman Legends is coming to the Nintendo Switch for the holidays

Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends are easily two of the best pure 2D platformers we’ve had in a very, very long time. While Nintendo was easing into the familiarity of the New Super Mario Bros. series, Ubisoft decided to go nuts with Rayman and challenge us in all sorts insane ways.

It was the glorious answer to a period of ho-hum gameplay from the major players in the 2D platformer space. Rayman Legends and Origins were beautifully illustrated, orchestrated and developed.

Now, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition hits the Nintendo Switch in September. It’s coming on September 12, to be precise, and we’ll have a demo for it before the release.

Nintendo broke the news of the release date on their official Twitter account, and they included a trailer showing some folks playing on the beach. I play my Switch everywhere, but I’ll be keeping it far away from that sort of sand, trust me.

If you own a Nintendo Switch and have never played Rayman Legends, get this game. It’s a good one.
