Terry Crews might not be in Overwatch, but he’s still coming to a video game

Overwatch fans held out for a long time with hope that Terry Crews would play the role of Doomfist when the new character finally launched. However, Crews ended up not voicing the character, and the Internet wept in unison.

Never fear! While he might not appear in Overwatch, the popular actor definitely will turn up in Microsoft’s Crackdown 3. He first appeared in the trailer for the game at E3 2017, and now from San Diego Comic-Con, we just got our first look at the digital character he plays, Commanding Agent Isaiah Jaxon.

Sweet. However, I gotta say, as much as I love seeing Terry Crews pop up in games and movies alike, nobody will ever be able to do Crackdown like Michael McConnohie, the voice of the original Director. Woe be unto Microsoft if they failed to sign him up for another game. I don’t think anybody, not even Crews, can match that man’s soothing intensity.

Still, Crews is a wonderful addition to a game that seems like it needs a boost at the moment. Crackdown 3 will be released on the Xbox One on Nov. 7.
