iPhone 8 dummy model looks gorgeous—and it actually works

The iPhone 8 is among the most highly anticipated phones of the year. Constant leaks and concepts have drummed up interest to a fever pitch, and we’re still possibly two months away before Apple takes the wraps off its latest flagship. But a new video gives us our best look at what we largely expect to be the final design, and it looks absolutely stunning.

YouTuber SuperSaf got his hands on an iPhone 8 replica that actually works. It features the design we’ve come become quite familiar with but gives us our closest look yet at every design detail. Whoever made the device put great attention into the minute details, including the glass back, vertical dual-camera, button lay out and glossy finish on the metal frame.

The device is powered by Android but has a custom skin on top that makes it look like iOS. Aside from the operating system and reworked display, it looks legit. The main eyesore with the dummy is that it features an older display with big iPhone 7-like bezels on the front.

Building this dummy phone with an impressive design, let alone the fact that it actually works, is something to be commended. Until Apple finally unveils its next iPhone this September, we’ll have to settle for this at the moment.
