Over the course of the past few days, we’ve covered a lot of news surrounding the HTC U11 — and now we have some more. On Tuesday, HTC launched a 6GB/128GB variant of the squeezable handset in the United States.
Other than the increase in RAM and storage, the 128GB version is identical to the 64GB base model, packing a 5.5-inch QHD Super LCD 5 display, a Snapdragon 835 processor, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 3,000mAh battery.
The pièce de résistance, however, is the U11’s pressure-sensitive frame, which allows users to trigger different actions — opening an application or placing a call, for example — by squeezing the device for a set length of time.
HTC says it’ll start shipping the 128GB variant in August, though it didn’t provide a specific timeframe. Pricing is set at $729.
