Google Maps adds a new feature to help you pick a time to leave

Google has quietly added a new feature to Maps for Android that tells you the best time to depart for your destination. At present, it looks like the Time Graph is limited to the United Kingdom and United States, but it should reach more regions in the near future.

Once the feature arrives on your device, you’ll notice a bar chart appear when you input directions, showing how long it will take you to make your trip if you set off right away and how much time you’ll save if you wait a couple of hours before leaving.

A suggestion for Google

We have just one qualm with the so-called Time Graph: it’s not precise. Unless there’s a significant difference between two bars, it’s almost impossible to tell exactly how much time you’ll save.

Try adding some labels to the Y-axis, Google.
