Galaxy Note 8 announcement window revealed by Samsung’s mobile boss

Recently, there’s been a lot of speculation about when the impending announcement of the Galaxy Note 8 will take place — and now Dongjin Koh, President of Samsung’s Mobile Divison, has put an end to the rumors.

During a trip to Taiwan last week, Koh revealed that Samsung will take the wraps off the Galaxy Note 8 at the end of August, with the handset scheduled to start shipping in early September.

Let’s recap what we (think) we know about the Galaxy Note 8

The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 13MP (Monochrome and RGB) dual-camera, an S Pen and a 3,300mAh battery.

Don’t expect those internals to come cheap, though. Reliable tipster Evan Blass believes that the Galaxy Note 8 will be the firm’s most expensive smartphone to date, carrying a price tag of $1,100 outside of South Korea.
