Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 pre-orders come with the sweetest PlayStation 4 theme

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is up for pre-orders on PlayStation Store, and unlike a lot of modern releases, I feel confident enough to ensure that there is no risk in buying early. Mega Man 7 through 10 are all fabulous video games, and Digital Eclipse’s emulation hasn’t let us down yet after two really solid Capcom classic bundles. Capcom is handling the emulation this time around, but it knows the quality fans are looking for.

And if you need more incentive, Capcom will toss in this amazing Mega Man PlayStation 4 theme on top of the game. That’s normally not incentive enough for me, but my goodness, Capcom went all out in making this, and it shows since they hired the right artist to get it done.

Udon Entertainment artist, Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz has been drawing video game characters since he was twelve and has been working professionally for the last ten years. He recently spoke with PlayStation Blog about his Mega Man artwork, and the story behind it is actually kind of touching since Mega Man robot masters have always been his favorite subjects.

I was always a fan of the designs of the characters. They were so appealing and unique, while carrying a uniform feel throughout. Even with [simple graphics], each character felt larger than life and had very distinctive eyes and features that were immediately readable.

You can read the whole interview at PlayStation Blog plus a breakdown of his favorite individual robot masters. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 launches on Aug. 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it includes Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10.
