LG has started sending out invitations to an event it’s holding in Berlin on August 31, which just so happens to be the day before the IFA tech show kicks off — and that’s definitely not a coincidence.
So what’s going down at the event? Well, nothing’s confirmed, but judging by the design of the invitation, we’re guessing the firm will use the gathering as an opportunity to showcase the much-rumored V30.
Recently, the handset broke cover in a number of CAD-based renders that were released by Twitter tipster OnLeaks, but much to our surprise, it was missing the V series’ coveted secondary display.
It’s unclear why LG has decided to scrap the additional screen, but it’s reportedly introducing a new 6.2-inch curved edge-to-edge OLED panel (18:9 aspect ratio) à la Galaxy S8 to make up for it.
Let’s get technical!
Other notable purported specifications include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4/6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a dual 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP selfie shooter and at least a 3,200mAh battery.
