Destiny 2 preload beta client goes live today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

by Ron Duwell | July 13, 2017July 13, 2017 6:00 am PDT

Destiny 2 will be available to the public for the first time today with the pre-order going live at 1:00 p.m. EST/10:00 a.m. PDT. Those that were lucky enough to score a code will be one step closer to gaining access to one of this years’ hottest titles.

The rest of us will, sadly, have to wait. There is still time to pre-order the game and secure your beta code, so go ahead and do that now if you have no friends to get one from.

The actual test is set to begin for PlayStation 4 users at 10 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, July 18. Xbox One owners will get a chance to join the following day at 10 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, July 19. Again, this will only be for players who pre-order the game.

General audiences will get to play at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 21 for both consoles with a window of 35 hours before the beta finishes at .9 p.m. on Sunday, July 23.

Got all that? Good! That’s a lot of dates to remember for just a beta test. Destiny 2 will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 6.
