iPhone 8 to launch in a gorgeous new color

The iPhone 8 will be available in four colors, including a new mirror-like option, according to Twitter tipster (and TechnoBuffalo friend) Benjamin Geskin.

Unfortunately, not a great deal is known about the new hue, other than that it’ll feature a highly-reflective surface similar to the one on this protective case:

This news comes shortly after renowned KGI Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a report claiming that the iPhone 8 will be available in fewer colors than usual to maintain a “boutique” branding.

Geskin — or Kuo, for that matter — didn’t provide any details about the three other hues, but we’re guessing they’re the traditional black, silver and gold variants Apple perfected with the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 8 should sport an OLED display

Rumored to be announced in September, the iPhone 8 is expected to be Apple’s most impressive handset to date, packing an edge-to-edge OLED display, coupled with an in-screen Touch ID sensor.
