Play Store gains a much-requested feature

Google has quietly started pushing out an update for the Play Store. In addition to the usual slew of bug fixes and stability improvements, the upgrade transports one change that users have been requesting for a while: in-line changelogs in the updates section.

Once you’ve installed the latest version of the Play Store, you’ll be able to see the changelog for every update waiting to be downloaded without having to navigate to each application’s page. Sure, it’s not a major upgrade, but it’s something that all users will appreciate.

It’s a staged rollout

Version 8.0 of the Play Store is currently rolling out to all Android-powered smartphones and tablets in stages. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there’s a way to manually toggle the upgrade — so you’ll need to play the waiting game.
