Galaxy S8 Mini reportedly in the works with a nifty new display

Samsung is reportedly working on a “Mini” variant of the Galaxy S8. The handset is expected to feature a 5.3-inch Infinity Display, though it should feel more like a 4.7-inch panel because of its extra wide aspect ratio (18.5:9).

Unfortunately, details surrounding the Galaxy S8 Mini are sparse. A recent report published by IT Home claims that the device will sport a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and an iris scanner.

For comparison, the Galaxy S8 houses near-identical internals, with the only exception being it has a more powerful Snapdragon 835 CPU. That said, it’s unknown whether the Galaxy S8 Mini will ship with the same camera as its flagship sibling.

We don’t know how much the Galaxy S8 Mini will cost

Considering the handset is intended to be a scaled-down, more affordable variant of the Galaxy S8, it still packs an awful lot of bang for your buck — but exactly how many bucks it will set you back is a mystery.
