Motorola announced a new 360-degree camera Moto Mod that adds more camera functionality to the company’s latest smartphones.
The new camera was unveiled at event in Ghana, according to TechDroider. Famed leaker Evan Blass was the first to publish an image of the mod. It’s a white case with a 360 camera attached to the top. You can see it down below.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know any details about the mod, such as camera specifications or pricing. An availability date wasn’t revealed either.
Motorola jumped head first with its modular design last year with the release of the Moto Z.
The release of the new mod comes after the announcement of Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone, which will also support magnetic attachments. It is positioning itself as a modular phone in the same market as Motorola’s Z-line of phones (Z, Z Play and Z2 Play).
The Essential Phone’s 360 camera mod will retail for $199 if purchased separately or $50 if purchased with the phone as a bundle.
