Galaxy S8 Active design showcased in official image

On Saturday, the so-called Galaxy S8 Active was spotted on the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) online database, and a sketch included in the accompanying documentation shines a light on the design of the handset.

It appears that Samsung’s ditched the Galaxy S8’s all glass design in favor of a more sturdy plastic-clad shell, which likely adheres to the MIL-STD-810G standard of durability.

Specs-wise, the Galaxy S8 Active should have pretty much identical internals to the regular Galaxy S8. Although, we’re guessing that it’ll have a flat display and a slightly larger battery.
