OnePlus has issued a statement defending the “jelly” scrolling effect on the OnePlus 5.
According to the Chinese firm, the stretched illusion the screen creates when loading additional content is “natural” and should be present on all devices — so needless to say, it won’t distribute an update to fix the “issue.”
“The OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display,” OnePlus told XDA Developers, later adding that it isn’t “a QA or manufacturing defect.”
It’s more than likely that a tweak will surface in the not-too-distant future that will allow you to alter the way the feature (let’s just call it that) works. You just need to play the waiting game.
