Google Home update adds a long-requested feature

Google has quietly pushed out an update for all Home units in the United States. The upgrade transports support for Bluetooth, as well as a multitude of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations.

Once you’ve activated Bluetooth using the Home application on your smartphone, you can route audio (whether it’s from Play Music or a third-party application) through the smart speaker — and it actually sounds pretty good.

I’ve gone on record before saying that the Home is the best-sounding smart home speaker, and that still rings true today. It’s a lot clearer than the Echo and — put plainly — sounds like a more premium product.
