The same way we’ve become accustomed to hearing about each month’s changes to services like Netflix and Hulu, we now have the Xbox Game Pass. Just as the Xbox Game Pass mimics those services in the way users will interact with it, it’ll also be getting monthly updates. Microsoft has announced the first round of additions.
Here’s what you can expect to see in July
- Resident Evil 6
- Dead Island
- The Flame in the Flood
- F1 2015
- Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition
- Bard’s Gold
- Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine
It’s a pretty short list, but the Game Pass only went live last month, so both Microsoft and third party publishers are likely feeling out how this will all work. In this collection, only Monaco is an Xbox 360 game, while the others are all Xbox One titles. Dead Island and Resident Evil 6 are the clear headliners, though the indie titles The Flame in the Flood and Guacamelee! have enough critical acclaim between them to make up for how bad RE6 was and how disappointing Dead Island was.
All these games go live on the Xbox Game Pass on July 1. The Xbox Game Pass is $9.99 per month.
