Final Fantasy XV’s off-roading update is going to take up a ton of drive space

Because Inception settings and machines guns just aren’t enoughFinal Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata and his team at Square Enix have decided to go even crazier with their JRPG hit. Starting today, you can download the off-roading Regalia update, which will transform the game’s popular car into the Type-D model.

This will allow Noctis and his friends to break free from the roads and go hopping through the hills of Eos.

You might need to make a bit of space for this update. Square Enix rolled out a patch this morning, and it weighs in at a hefty 8.65 GB, making one of the PlayStation 4’s and Xbox One’s largest games even larger!

The update also concludes the user survey and adds other fixes. See the list of details below.

  • Implementation of Regalia Type-D off-road customization option (available at Hammerhead)
  • Conclusion of survey regarding future updates
  • Addition of compatibility with Episode Prompto
  • Addition of pieces from Episode Prompto to music player tracklist
  • Various bug fixes

I’ll let you know when we get VR fishing!
