OnePlus 5 repairs are going to be a bit of a nightmare

According to the folks over at MyFixGuide, the OnePlus 5 can be disassembled in 24 straightforward steps, but due to an abundance of small parts and a “strict sealing design,” it’s a bit of a pain to put back together.

That shouldn’t be enough to put you off picking one up though, but this may: a number of connectors inside the OnePlus 5 aren’t fastened with metal plates, which means they could pry loose if the handset is dropped from a considerable height.

If you’re a clumsy person, the OnePlus 5 probably isn’t the right phone for you

What’s more worrying is that even if your OnePlus 5 is enclosed in a case, it isn’t protected, as it’s the force of the unit hitting the ground that causes components like the camera module to dislodge, not physical damage.
