The Nintendo Switch is still pretty hard to find. Unless you refresh retailers online constantly, don’t mind paying more to buy it from a third-party seller or happen to live somewhere that has more stock, buying the console in a typical fashion has become exceedingly difficult.
Nintendo knows this is happening, and Nintendo of Japan issued a formal apology on its website for the short supply. Their apology seems to be aimed towards the Japanese market specifically.
The Company is, supposedly, working to increase the supply of the Nintendo Switch. It’s been reported that Apple’s manufacturing uptick has lead to decreased supply for hardware makers like Nintendo. Such is the weight of Apple’s presence in the hardware manufacturing process.
Hopefully, Nintendo will be able to increase supply between now and the holidays. This is likely the time of year that will see the least demand for the Nintendo Switch. If they don’t right the ship ahead of the fall and the release of Super Mario Odyssey, the Nintendo Switch might be nearly impossible to find come Christmas.
