OnePlus 5 is flying off the virtual shelves

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed that the OnePlus 5 is the firm’s fastest-selling smartphone to date, which is strange considering the handset doesn’t go on sale until June 27.

So how were people able to place an order? The answer’s simple: OnePlus returned to its roots and hid a code in its unveiling presentation, which could be used to pre-order the OnePlus 5 as soon as the event finished.

It’s unknown exactly how many units OnePlus set aside for the pre-sale, but it’s encouraging to see them fly off the shelves like hot cakes.

Missed the opportunity to pre-order the OnePlus 5?

Obviously, if you missed the chance to pre-order the OnePlus 5 on Tuesday, there’s no need to panic. You’ll be able to purchase one on June 27 from the company’s website without a code.
