Samsung accidentally confirms the existence of the Galaxy S8 Active

We’ve heard a lot of rumors claiming that Samsung’s working on a ruggedized variant of the Galaxy S8, and on Monday the firm accidentally confirmed the existence of the handset in a document that was uploaded to its website, outlining all of the applications the device will ship with.

Unfortunately, not a great deal is known about the Galaxy S8 Active. Speculation dictates that it will feature a thicker body that’s resistant to knocks and bumps, and a slightly larger battery than the standard Galaxy S8, but it should pack the same 5.8-inch AMOLED display and Exynos 88955 CPU.

The Galaxy S8 Active could be announced this month

The Galaxy S8 Active is expected to launch exclusively through AT&T in the United States and seeing as the operator typically releases its latest Active smartphones in June, we’re guessing we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out exactly what Samsung has up its sleeve.
