Samsung releases a new variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus

Samsung has released the dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus in the United Kingdom. The handset is available to purchase in both Midnight Black and Orchid Gray hues from the company’s online store for £779 ($995).

This is the first time that Samsung has launched a dual-SIM model of one of its flagship smartphones in the region. Typically, it reserves them for Asian countries where most customers use two SIMs: one for calling and one for data.

Aside from having an extra SIM slot, this particular variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus is identical to one that was released back in April, so it still packs a 6.2-inch Infinity Display, an Exynos 8895 Octa CPU and 4GB of RAM.

What about the Galaxy S8?

Unfortunately, there’s no word on whether a dual-SIM version of the smaller Galaxy S8 will hit the shelves in the region. Although, it does seem likely.
