Devil May Cry director says his new game is “progressing smoothly”

Hideaki Itsuno of Devil May Cry 2, 3, 4 and Dragon’s Dogma fame is hard at work at Capcom on a brand new project, one that sadly did not show up at E3 2017. He teased an announcement earlier in the year but did not specify that it would be announced at E3.

In spite of that, Itsuno took to Twitter to provide fans an update and apologized for the game not being revealed yet.

What could it be?

There is a lot of wondering what the game could be. With Capcom, it could either be an original franchise, something Itsuno struck big on with Dragon’s Dogma, or a revived classic like Onimusha or Devil May Cry. Hard to say, can’t say which I prefer either.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has already been confirmed for a port on modern consoles, so it will not likely be a sequel for that game.
