Microsoft’s new Modern Keyboard has a nifty hidden feature

Microsoft has unveiled a new “Modern Keyboard” that features an integrated fingerprint reader embedded in the Windows key on the right-hand side of the unit, which can be used to log into Windows 10 and third-party websites via Windows Hello.

As demonstrated in the introductory video, the Modern Keyboard also supports both wired and wireless connections, and can be used with Android, macOS and, of course, Windows. It’s set to go on sale in the United States later this month for $129.99.

Microsoft probably should have announced it sooner

All in all, it sounds like a pretty impressive keyboard, but it’s a little strange that Microsoft has waited until now to introduce it, as it only recently released the Surface Keyboard — so there’s a good chance this news will frustrate many customers.
