If this is the Pixel 2, we’ll forget all about the Galaxy S8

Google needs to revamp the Pixel’s design if it hopes to truly compete, and a great starting point is to steal DBS Concept’s vision of what the Pixel 2 will look like, because it’s absolutely stunning.

DBS Concept’s idea ditches the chunky Pixel design in favor of a minimalist metal and glass body that exudes a premium look. The main difference is noticed up front where those ugly top and bottom bezels are substantially trimmed down. On the back, gone is the controversial glass and aluminum two-tone for a complete sheet of glass. The fingerprint scanner stays in the same place as the first generation Pixel, a much-improved location over the Galaxy S8.

Among the new additions the concept shows off is the new vertical dual camera. Completing the new design is an ambitious light up Google “G” logo, which is a nice touch that really pops and differentiates it from any other device.

The revamped specs include a 5.7-inch QHD+ OLED display, octa core processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 7MP front facing camera, 12MP main camera, 3,800mAh battery, IP68 water and dust resistant and it will be the first device to ship with Android O.

The most controversial aspect of DBS Concept’s design is the elimination of the headphone jack. Not a big fan of this move, but with an overall design this beautiful, I may just make the sacrifice.
