Razer is known for making some of the best gaming peripherals for PCs and consoles. Today, it is continuing to expand that title with the introduction of the Thresher Ultimate wireless gaming headset.

The Thresher Ultimate gaming headset is a wireless system for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that delivers Dolby 7.1 surround sound. Razer packed it with large 50mm drivers that pump directional audio into each cup for an immersive sound. Each version comes with an audio hub base that connects to the console. This provides up to 40-feet of Bluetooth range through a 2.4GHz wireless lag-free connection.

Like Razer’s past headphones, the Thresher Ultimate has a Retractable Boom Mic and on-headset controls (volume, power). The volume will be adjustable on each side independently and will charge via MicroUSB with battery life estimated up to 16 hours.

The Thresher headsets will be compatible with Project Scorpio.

As for comfort, the headset weighs 0.89lbs and features Noise-isolating Leatherette Cushions for premium comfort during long gaming sessions. There is only one difference between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Thresher headset, and that is color. The PlayStation 4 version comes in a dark blue tone and the Xbox One features the familiar green Razer color.

The Razer Thresher Ultimate wireless gaming headphones will retail for $249.99. You can pre-order a pair right now on Razer’s website and they’ll ship in July.
