BlackBerry KEYone CDMA version now available from Best Buy

The CDMA version of the new BlackBerry KEYone is now available at Best Buy for all you Verizon customers. The unlocked device costs exactly the same as the GSM version, which means you’ll be paying $549.99 plus tax.

Unlike a lot of modern flagships, the KEYone isn’t a “global” device, which means you have to buy different versions for GSM and CDMA carriers. The first model to hit the market was the GSM version, which is great if you’re an AT&T or T-Mobile customer. But those who subscribe to Verizon no longer have to miss out on BlackBerry’s latest.

BlackBerry began notifying fans on Monday that the CDMA version of the KEYone is now available to order at Best Buy. Shortly after, the retailer listed the device on its website for order. It’s priced at $549.99 with free shipping, and because it’s unlocked, you can use any SIM card inside it (so long as that SIM card is for a CDMA network).

The GSM version of the KEYone sold out soon after it landed, so you might want to act quickly if you’ve been waiting for the CDMA model. It’s likely there are even fewer units to go around this time, and who knows when more will be arriving.
