Unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus being offered at a steep discount

Samsung on Monday announced a $100 discount for unlocked variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus across multiple retailers.

The $100 discount will be available through Amazon, Target, Best Buy and B&H. It will apply to the models right away as the unlocked versions are starting to become available in the U.S. An unlocked 64GB S8 is coming in at $624.99 and an unlocked 64GB S8 Plus is $724.99 with the $100 discount applied.

It’s important to look out for these discounts as they are not available everywhere, specifically through carriers. The S8 is available unlocked through Verizon and AT&T for $749.99 right now, a full $125 more than the discount being offered by Samsung.

Samsung’s unlocked versions will support both GSM and CDMA networks and will work internationally as well without any restrictions. Best of all, the unlocked versions will come without the bloatware carriers love to throw on phones.

We reviewed the S8 and S8 Plus and thoroughly loved them. They’re fantastic devices with cutting edge design and top-of-the-line specs. If you jump on this latest deal from Samsung, it’d be a worthy purchase.
