Bethesda ad reveals The Evil Within 2 early before its E3 press conference

Bethesda’s E3 2017 presentation is scheduled to start a few hours from now, but the company accidentally went ahead and announced The Evil Within 2 in ads and topics all over reddit. Of course, the topic has been deleted, but the Internet and its inhabitants’ “prt sc” keys never forget.

The reddit community was quick to scoop up the topic and preserve it.

This isn’t the first leak we’ve seen of the game either. A job listing hinted at its existence earlier in March, leading many to believe that this announcement was incoming as early as then.

The Evil Within can finally feel complete

The Evil Within was a really solid game that just never felt complete. Some might have called its mechanics dated and too close to Resident Evil 4 for a 2014 release, but just the fact that a game came so close to delivering Resident Evil 4’s chills was impressive.

It felt like far more loyal of a follow-up than both Resident Evil 5 and did, that’s for sure.

Perhaps a sequel will help rid gamers of that incomplete feeling many had when they played the first one.

Bethesda’s E3 2017 press conference starts today at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PT.
