On Monday, a teaser, which points towards OnePlus taking the wraps off its much-anticipated flagship smartphone of 2017 — the OnePlus 5 — on June 20, was uploaded to Chinese social networking website Weibo.
Predictably, the image can’t actually be traced back to OnePlus — so the date should be taken with a pinch of salt, even more so when you consider that an alleged internal email surfaced online last week claiming that the handset will be announced on June 15.
As a result of the amount of leaks we’ve seen recently, it doesn’t feel like there’s much we don’t already know about the OnePlus 5, other than what it looks like. It’s expected to sport a Full HD display, 6GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 835 CPU and a dual-camera.
All we know for certain…
All we know for certain is that the OnePlus 5 will launch “this summer,” and judging by the firm’s inability to plug the leaks, we’re guessing an unveiling will take place soon. Roll on June 15… or June 20… or maybe even June 29. Your guess is as good as ours.
