Ubisoft will be showing off a new IP at E3

How do you make a sizzle reel for a bunch of stuff you have yet to announce? Ubisoft has a lot to show off at E3 this year, but it’s trying to keep it under wraps all the same.

What’s in the trailer?

The trailer specifically calls out the previously-announced South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and features previously-seen footage of Far Cry 5 from last week’s reveal. Over and over again, though, Ubisoft hints that it has a lot of unannounced stuff to show. Assassin’s Creed is almost definitely among those. At least one of the games Ubisoft will show us is a brand-new IP. Last year, that was the somewhat-disappointing-but-mostly-fine Steep. What else can we expect? Well, not Beyond Good & Evil 2. I’d expect some kind of announcement about Rainbow Six: Siege, such as some new content in the pipeline. Ghost Recon: Wildlands might see some DLC as well.

Sadly, comedian and actress Aisha Tyler will not be hosting the conference this year. Ubisoft says it still loves her, though; no word on whether this was an Ubisoft decision or a scheduling thing, but we’re going to guess the former. We’re going to miss her, regardless.

We’re looking forward to seeing what Ubisoft has on offer. The publisher’s official E3 conference takes place June 12 at 4 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST.
