The refurbished variant of the Galaxy Note 7, which is rumored to be called the Galaxy Note FE, will be priced at 699,600 won ($623) when it launches in South Korea, according to a local third-party retailer.
Aside from being branded with a big “R” on the back to indicate that it’s a refurbished unit and shipping with a smaller 3,200mAh battery, the Galaxy Note FE should be identical to the original Galaxy Note 7.
For those in need of a refresher, the Galaxy Note 7, which was recalled last year after a number of handsets “exploded” as a result of a faulty battery design, packed a 5.7-inch display, Exynos 8890 CPU, 4GB of RAM and 12MP rear-facing camera.
$600 is a pretty big ask
We know what you’re thinking (and we agree): $600 is a lot to pay for a nine-month-old device. That’s why Samsung is marketing the Galaxy Note FE towards its die-hard fans, looking for another piece of memorabilia to add to their collection.
