Earlier this month, OnePlus announced that it’s been working closely with camera experts DxO to “enhance” the photography experience on the OnePlus 5 — and now we’re catching our first glimpse at the fruits of their labor.
On Monday, the Chinese firm took to Twitter to share a sample image taken using the OnePlus 5. Sadly, the photograph doesn’t reveal anything about the camera setup, but it’s clear it’s capable of capturing more detail and true-to-life colors.
It’s also unknown what handset the OnePlus 5 was pit against in the comparison. If we had to hazard a guess, we’d say it’s the OnePlus 3T, because that’s typically how it performs in low-light environments.
A dual-camera setup?
The exact specification of the camera is a bit of a mystery at present, though recent rumors point towards it comprising of two sensors; presumably a wide-angle and a telephoto CIS.
Fortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait too much longer to find out exactly what OnePlus has up its sleeve, as it’s expected to take the wraps off the device next month.
