Here’s where Overwatch’s new dance emotes come from in pop culture

With the Anniversary Event update for Overwatch that dropped this past week, Blizzard rolled out new emotes for the cast of heroes. Chief among them? Dancing.

Dancing, like sitting, has been requested since basically day one for the game, so it’s only fitting that the community would finally get access to them on the one year anniversary.

The heroes themselves do some recognizable dances, but TooCurly, a YouTuber, went to the lengths to actually match the dances up with footage of their source material. That means Winston next to Travolta in Pulp Fiction and Zarya copying the moves from an old aerobics show.

Here’s the video.

I can’t even pick a favorite here. Between Mei, Tracer, Winston and Zarya, I love them all.

Anything stick out especially in your mind?
