Moto 360 owners rejoice, your big day has finally arrived!

Sticking to its promise, Motorola has started distributing the long-awaited Android Wear 2.0 update for the second-generation Moto 360. Don’t expect to receive an alert prompting you to install the upgrade today though, as it’s “rolling out in phases.”

For those unaware, Android Wear 2.0 brings a truckload of exciting new features to the table, including Google Assistant, compatibility for standalone applications available through an on-the-watch Play Store, improved battery life and a cleaner user interface.

The update isn’t for the Moto 360 Sport

It’s worth pointing out that this update is only for the base version of the second-generation Moto 360, and not for the dedicated Sport variant. Although, that should also receive the upgrade at some point in the near future.

Happy updating, folks!
