PlayStation Store gets a “Creators” section where devs can curate content

If you’d like to see what Street Fighter series Producer Yoshinori Ono, Sony Worldwide Studios Head Shuhei Yoshida or Rocket League developer Psyonix consider the best games on the PlayStation brand, Sony’s just rolled out a really interesting program.

It’s called “The Creators,” and it’s an area of the PlayStation Store that lets “the industry’s most creative minds pick their favorite games.” Users can browse what’s on offer and buy software at their leisure.

Take developer Supergiant Games, for example. That’s the studio behind Bastion, Transistor and the upcoming Pyre. They offer a collection for fans to “lose yourself in these games set in the most imaginative, evocative, and memorable places.” The games they include feature:

  • Bloodborne
  • Brothers: a Tale of two Sons
  • Darkest Dungeon
  • The Banner Saga
  • and more…

Personally? I love this idea. I love the notion that Sony’s giving creators a space to share their inspirations and favorite pastimes with fans. Having the ability to see what games Shuhei Yoshida loves and play them for myself is pretty darn cool.

If you were a creator, what games would you recommend?
