Bayonetta PC port is making a killing

Bayonetta’s PC port is showing the kind of solid numbers that any publisher would be thrilled to see on an eight-year-old game. SEGA Europe’s VP of Commercial Publishing John Clark has confirmed that the action game has already sold 170,000 copies since its surprise PC debut back on April 11.

According to Clark, in a statement to PC Invasion, SEGA is very pleased with the success of Bayonetta on PC so far, and it is delighted that the game has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. The game has always been a crowd-favorite, and a PC port that runs as flawlessly as this does is bound to do well with word of mouth and a $19.99 price tag.

And the best is still yet to come!

Bayonetta is a decent game. I’m not as big on it as others are, mostly because I don’t like the extended cutscenes all that much, but I’ll admit, it’s the best we have from Platinum Games in the post-Devil May Cry 3 world. At least it was until NieR: Automata came out.

However, as much as others love Bayonetta, I am a much bigger fan of Platinum Games’ other crowd-pleaser, the hyper-fast shooter Vanquish. It is available today, May 25, on Steam. Go check it out immediately!
