Last month, Google announced that it has partnered with PayPal to provide customers with the facility to spend their PayPal Balance using Android Pay — and now the feature is rolling out in the United States.
After you’ve installed the latest version of the PayPal application on your smartphone, you’ll be able to link your account to Android Pay, giving you the option to use your PayPal Balance as a payment method when you’re at a NFC terminal.
Phone Arena points out that in order to process PayPal payments, Android Pay creates a Discover card for the service, and you’ll need to select where you’d like it to draw funds from; either your balance or a connected bank account.
You can finally spend your PayPal Balance in retail stores
As we’ve said in the past, forming a partnership with PayPal should help drive some new customers to Android Pay, as there are plenty of people who’ve been crying out for a way to spend their PayPal Balance in retail stores without withdrawing the money.
