Google Assistant makes it easy to buy stuff—no humans required

by Brandon Russell | May 17, 2017May 17, 2017 10:41 am PDT

Google is making it easier than ever to purchase food, products—you name it. Just open Assistant, say you want a pizza from Domino’s, and Assistant will show you results and ask you follow-up questions, just as a human would over the phone. Once you’ve decided you want to order, you can use the credit card you have on file with Google and authenticate using your fingerprint.

What’s cool is that you won’t have to create any accounts with each vendor if you order products regularly. Panera Bread is launching as one of the first third-party supporters, with more to be available over the coming weeks and months.
