At long last, Samsung has launched its mobile payment platform in the United Kingdom.

Starting Tuesday, AMEX, HSBC and Nationwide customers in the region can install the Samsung Pay application from the Galaxy Apps Store to start making payments with their smartphone.

What separates Samsung Pay from its competitors is its ability to process both NFC and MST transactions, which essentially means you can use the service to pay for goods in a store that isn’t equipped with a contactless payment terminal.

Samsung Pay is now live in more than fifteen countries

With the United Kingdom finally on the list, Samsung Pay is now operational in more than fifteen countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Thailand.
