Galaxy S8’s red tint fix rolling out for yet another carrier

If you own a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus locked to AT&T, you may want to keep your eyes peeled for an update.

The carrier has started pushing out an OTA to patch a bug that some users were experiencing, which resulted in a red tint appearing on their handset’s display.

The upgrade itself is identical to the one that started making the rounds in Europe and South Korea a little less than two weeks ago, bundling a couple of new options for the Adaptive Display screen mode, designed to regulate the appearance of white tones.

Just like the other releases, this one’s rolling out in stages

If you’d like to see if the update is ready for your device, head into Settings, followed by Software Update, then press Download Updates Manually. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive a push notification prompting you to install it.
