Deadly Premonition: The Board Game Kickstarted almost immediately

It wasn’t the fastest video game inspired board game to reach its goal, but Deadly Premonition: The Board Game still clocked in at an impressive 8 hours. That’s all it took to secure the requested $50,000, allowing the creators to produce and ship the game to potential customers.

As of writing, it has hurdled its goal with $98,211 in the bank, 1,557 backers, and 27 days remaining. Might as well just call it a day, so why not relax with a nice cup of F K coffee?

Deadly Premonition is a cult-hit video game developed by Access Games for the Xbox 360 back in 2010. It’s admittedly a horrible video game in terms of quality control, but between its awkward writing, its endearing blocky graphics, and its colorful Twin Peaks inspired setting and cast, there is an unusual amount of brilliance tucked under the layer of crud that surrounds it.

Fans flocked around the remastered edition a few years ago, and it has since enjoyed a much larger following, enough to secure a board game at least.

Will there be movie trivia?

Seriously, I’m not interested in solving any Deadly Premonition murder cases unless I’m allowed to randomly blurt out vast amounts of movie trivia.

Man… I need to play Deadly Premonition, don’t I? Work this into the board game mechanics!
