Smite is getting a Bob Ross Bundle… as in the painter

Twitch and Hi-Rez studios are bringing the maker of happy, little trees into Smite, the third-person MOBA. The two have announced the Bob Ross Bundle.

Here’s the word on what players will get, per the official site for Smite.

Ride atop a happy little Grover and fling paint at your enemies with the Exclusive Bob Ross® Sylvanus Skin. Plus, unlock a Loading Frame that makes all card art appear as a painting and a paint splatter Jump Stamp!

The bundle will sell for either 700 in-game gems or for $9.99 on Twitch’s shop, Twitch Commerce. The bundle will be available starting May 9, 2017, on PC and Mac, while the consoles will have access to Bob on May 16, 2017.

Little, happy crossovers

When I first read this exceptionally ridiculous news, I wasn’t sure how to react. On the one hand, Smite‘s obviously managed to tap into a culturally relevant persona with the long remembered Bob Ross.

On the other hand, this one feels sort of forced, doesn’t it? I won’t spoil anyone else’s canvas here, but this feels like some meme injection to me. What do I know?
