Galaxy Note 7R hands-on pictures appear to confirm 3,200mAh battery

Now that the Galaxy S8 has launched, Samsung’s inability to keep the handset under wraps seems to have transitioned to the upcoming Galaxy Note 7R. Less than a week after it was spotted passing through the FCC, the device has appeared in a collection of hands-on images.

As you can see from the pictures above, the Galaxy Note 7R sports an identical design to its predecessor. However, it ships with a smaller 3,200mAh battery and has Android 7.0 pre-installed, while the original Galaxy Note 7 had a 3,500mAh cell and runs Android 6.0.1 out of the box.

Judging by recent leaks, the Galaxy Note 7R will pack the same internals as the Galaxy Note 7, so we should expect to seeĀ a 5.7-inch display, an in-house Exynos 8890 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 12MP rear-facing camera equipped with OIS, a 5MP front-facing shooter and an iris scanner.

Let’s talk about pricing

It’s believed that out of the three-to-four million handsets recalled, just 300,000 will go on sale in South Korea, with each reportedly carrying a price tag of 700,000 won ($620), which is around 300,000 won ($266) cheaper than the original.
