After what feels like a lifetime of delays, the long-awaited Android Wear 2.0 update has finally started making its way to the original Huawei Watch. As is usually the case, the upgrade is making the rounds in stages, but if you’re feeling impatient, you can manually grab the OTA file to flash onto your device.

For those who missed its announcement, Android Wear 2.0 transports a slew of exciting new features to compatible devices, including support for standalone applications, Google Assistant, improved battery life and a cleaner user interface, which makes it easier than ever to switch between applications.

Not long to go

With the Huawei Watch now crossed off the list, the Android Wear 2.0 upgrade still has to make its way to the Asus ZenWatch 2, Asus ZenWatch 3, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, Moto 360 Gen 2 and Moto 360 Sport, then it’s reached all of the devices Google promised it would be available on.
