New to Mario Kart? Here’s an official video about drifting and boost, a crucial mechanic

It’s entirely possible that you might be completely new to Mario Kart with the launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Heck, Nintendo just announced that the game became the fastest-selling Mario Kart title in the franchise’s history.

There are surely a lot of new players out there. So, Nintendo put together a quick video detailing the mini-turbo that comes from drifting appropriately. The mechanic is massively crucial, so new players should pay attention here.

This will become automatic for you over time

If you are new and are sweating how hard it is to nail drfiting and turbo boosts, don’t. It’s to the point now with Mario Kart that my hands automatically fly into drifting and boost as soon as I pick up a controller. In fact, I don’t think I could actually force myself to not actively drift during play.

Plus, you’ll need these skills in order to win in higher difficulties than 100cc and online. Good luck.
