by Sean P. Aune | May 2, 2017

The OnePlus 5 release is drawing closer and closer, and while we still don’t know an exact launch date, it is clear the company is working at a breakneck pace to prep the handset for launch.

OnePlus shared on Weibo on Monday that it is working with a break “just to make a big surprise.” Liu Zuohu, the CEO of the company, shared the message saying “carry on!” and adding a fist and a hashtag of the company motto of “Never Settle.”

No firm facts are known as of yet about the OnePlus 5, but rumors have indicated that the device will sport a 5.5-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 835 chip, 3,000mAh battery, and 6GB of RAM. One of the biggest rumors surrounds the rumored 23MP dual lens camera, supposed samples of which you can see below.

The excitement for the OnePlus 5 is growing daily, and with the company and the CEO beginning to post cryptic comments on social media, one has to believe that the launch isn’t too far away. Typically OnePlus has announced new products in the summer, and there doesn’t seem to be any reason to think this year will be any different.
