Samsung has revealed that the virtual home button on board the Galaxy S8 slowly fades in and out when the Always-On Display mode is activated to prevent the icon from burning into the screen.
Eager to put the firm’s claim to test, the folks over at GalaxyClub marked out the position of the home key on their handset’s display, and witnessed it shift back and forth ever so slightly.
They also noticed that Samsung has brought the Always On Display feature on the Galaxy S8 in line with its Gear smartwatches, by forcing the clock to change position every few minutes to stop an outline of the time burning on the screen.
Samsung’s serious about quality
On the back of the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, the South Korean company appears to be pulling out all of the stops to assure quality on its latest products and we have to say, considering details like screen burn-in is certainly a good sign.
